Healthy Spaghetti Bolognese

  • 1 tbsp Primadonna olive oil
  • 1 Oaklands onion
  • 1 pack of our Irish lean steak mince
  • 500g Baresa Italian tomato passata
  • 1 pack of Baresa spaghetti
  • 1 Simply garlic baguette
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 200g grated mozzarella


  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot/pan. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Put your spaghetti in a pot of boiling water. Add a generous pinch of salt to prevent it from sticking together. Allow to cook for 8-10 minutes.
  • Add the mince to the pan and cook for 10-20 minutes until it is all nicely browned.
  • Add the passata, bring to the boil and then simmer while your spaghetti cooks.
  • Combine the spaghetti, mince, and mix.
  • Serve and sprinkle with grated mozzarella, some fresh basil, and a side of garlic bread for the perfect hearty mid-week meal.
