Walnut and Orange Curls
- Finely grind down the walnuts, blend together with butter, sugar, honey, salt, flour and baking powder until paste is smooth , add cold water if necessary. Allow pastry to sit for roughly 2 hours.
- Roll out pastry until thin and divide in to small portions (1cm in diameter). Cut into pieces and bend in to circular shapes (roughly 6cm in diameter), press the ends together. Place grease proof paper on the baking tray. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 14 minutes. Allow to cool on the plate.
- Meanwhile, chop remaining walnuts and mix together with orange peel, add to powdered sugar and bind together with orange juice until a liquid is formed. Drizzle on top of the biscuit curls and sprinkle with the walnut mix and allow to dry.
